This is my entry for the :iconthehistoryofhyrule: 2013 Calendar contest!

I enjoyed working on this very much since it is rarely for me to make a whole illustration nowadays. (especially a LoZ one!)

HOW do they reproduce??? How do they do it?

I am disturbed because I remember that rumor from one of the gossip stones that they go to Hyrule Castle Town to look for boyfriends, yet we don't know what became of them as you see no men around the fortress 0_0

One think that always struck my curiosity was where did they keep their men. I mean to keep having children they would have to have a man or two lying around

The Gerudo Tribe is a race composed entirely of women. Only once every one-hundred years is a male born, and that male becomes the next king of the tribe. For the most part, children are the result of one-night-stands - *cough* Hylians *cough* - because to them, love is petty and beneath them. Most of the time, the king is dead before the end of his reign, so there is a short period of time where the tribe goes without a king.

Also, If the king lived a good 80 years he would be able to make babies from the time he was 20 to the time he was maybe 50? So that's 30 years of babies he could be making and im sure he would be busy making them...
